Why Twitter under the leadership of Elon Musk is not an option either
Musk buys Social Network Twitter
So now it is confirmed that Elon Musk has bought Twitter. Nevertheless, Twitter is not a good option even under Musk's leadership. I will explain why.
Privacy issues
Twitter is full of analytics tools that analyze, evaluate, and track users down to the smallest detail. Twitter thus collects data to personalize content. Sounds good? No, it isn't. It's a huge collection of personal interests, topics and user characteristics.
What happens to the accounts that have already been suspended?
Musk reportedly wants to give Trump his Twitter account back, with Trump not wanting to return. The problem behind this is that large and well-known examples like Trump are known for their suspension. Small accounts, however, will most likely not be considered, even if they were wrongfully suspended.
Personalized ads
Twitter also analyzes users for personalized advertising. This is also a problem, as data is shared with other services and companies, even though users may not have consented to this. User data is thus collected and used for advertising. This is also questionable.
Conclusion:
There are many good alternatives, which I will also highlight here in the future. Some of them are very privacy-friendly, while others are less so. I can currently advise against Twitter and Gettr, as both analyze and evaluate users and their behavior. Gettr also has (or had) massive security issues.
